How Our Perfume Dupe Finder Works

It is a free search tool that matches designer fragrances with affordable Eau de Parfum equivalents from Made in Lab, Yodeyma and JFenzi. Our directory currently covers 344 designer perfumes and 241 Made in Lab bottles, each with its fragrance family, notes and UK price.

No. The finder, comparator, scent quiz and AI Dupe Assistant are completely free and do not require registration. You only pay when you decide to buy a bottle at our partner store BeautyShopOK.co.uk.

If you know the designer perfume you love, use the Instant Dupe Search. If you only know the notes or the mood you want (e.g. “sweet vanilla for winter”), ask the AI Dupe Assistant. If you have no idea at all, try the 3-Step Scent Quiz on the homepage.

The search bar understands four kinds of queries:

• Designer perfume name – e.g. Baccarat Rouge 540, Sauvage
• Designer brand – e.g. Tom Ford, Chanel
• Fragrance note – e.g. vanilla, oud, cherry
• Dupe code – e.g. No 18 or “Yodeyma 12”

Results update instantly as you type.

Try a shorter query (just the main word, e.g. “Opium” instead of “YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum Intense”), check the spelling, or clear the gender and brand filters. If it is still missing, describe it to the AI Dupe Assistant – it will suggest the closest scents by notes and fragrance family.

Under the search bar you can narrow results by gender (Women / Men / Unisex), designer brand, scent family (Amber, Floral, Woody, Fresh…) and Available in Store, which shows only equivalents with a direct product page at BeautyShopOK.co.uk. Filters combine with the text search.

Each row shows the Made in Lab, JFenzi and Yodeyma equivalent of one designer perfume. A gold chip with an arrow links straight to the product in the store. A grey chip opens a store search for that name, because the exact product page could not be confirmed. A dash (—) means that brand does not offer an equivalent for this perfume.

Click “+ Compare” next to up to three perfumes in the results table, then open the 1:1 Comparator tab. You will see the fragrance family, gender, notes pyramid, designer RRP and the price of each equivalent next to each other. Adding a fourth perfume replaces the oldest one.

We compare the typical UK retail price (RRP) of the designer bottle with the lowest price of its equivalent at BeautyShopOK.co.uk. RRPs are averages from major UK retailers and may differ from current promotions, so treat the saving as a guide rather than an exact figure.

In the Comparator tab you can move the slider to the number of bottles you buy per year. The calculator estimates how much you would spend on designer bottles versus Eau de Parfum equivalents over 12 months.

A dupe page (e.g. /dupe/dior-sauvage/) is a guide to one designer perfume and lists all its equivalents from different brands. A product page (e.g. /product/made-in-lab-23/) describes one specific Made in Lab bottle in detail: photo, EAN, intensity, season, notes and current price.

You describe what you are looking for in your own words. The assistant first searches our verified directory by perfume names, notes, fragrance families and occasions, and then an AI model explains the best matches. It only recommends perfumes that really exist in our catalogue, so every suggestion links to a dupe guide and the store.

For example: “Perfumes similar to Black Opium”, “Fresh office scent for men”, “Gift for my mum who loves roses” or “What is Made in Lab No 18?”. You can also ask follow-up questions – it remembers the last few messages.

Yes. The assistant understands common Polish phrases such as “zamiennik”, “perfumy damskie”, “na randkę” or “do biura”, although the best results are still achieved in English.

No. Inspired-by perfumes are original formulations sold under their own brand names (Made in Lab, Yodeyma, JFenzi). They are created to share the character and notes of famous scents, but they never copy designer bottles, logos or packaging.

Made in Lab, Yodeyma and JFenzi fragrances are Eau de Parfum concentration. On most skin types they last around 6–10 hours, longer on clothing. Amber, woody and gourmand scents usually last longest; fresh citrus scents are lighter.

Equivalents are designed to be very close to the original’s fragrance profile, but small differences are normal – just as one designer perfume smells slightly different on two people. Check the notes pyramid on each product page, and if you are unsure, start with a scent family you already know you like.
